Job Overview
Clicks Group is inviting applications for 10 Shop Assistant / Cashier positions at Spruitview Shopping Centre in Vosloorus. As a Shop Assistant / Cashier, you will play a vital role in creating a positive shopping experience for customers. You will be responsible for operating the point-of-sale (POS) system, assisting customers with purchases, maintaining accurate cash handling procedures, and ensuring shelves and displays remain clean, organised, and fully stocked. Every interaction should reflect the high customer service standards that Clicks is known for.
The successful candidate will work closely with customers by processing transactions accurately, answering product-related questions, promoting current promotions, and encouraging customers to join the Clicks ClubCard rewards programme. By providing friendly and professional service, you will help customers enjoy a pleasant shopping experience while supporting the company’s goal of helping customers “Feel Good and Pay Less.”
In addition to cashier responsibilities, Shop Assistants are expected to assist with merchandising activities to ensure products are displayed according to company standards. You will replenish shelves, rotate stock where necessary, maintain attractive product displays, and ensure the store remains neat and welcoming throughout the day.
Cash handling is an important part of this role. Successful candidates must demonstrate honesty, accuracy, and accountability when processing payments, balancing tills, and handling customer transactions. Attention to detail is essential to minimise errors and ensure every transaction is completed correctly.
You will also contribute to achieving store sales targets by informing customers about promotions, recommending products, and encouraging participation in the Clicks ClubCard loyalty programme. Building positive customer relationships through friendly interactions and helpful advice is an important aspect of the position.

Minimum Requirements

- Grade 12 (Matric).

- Previous customer-facing experience within a retail or FMCG environment.
