Dis-Chem Pharmacies is looking for a friendly, energetic, and customer-focused Cosmetic Frontshop Assistant to join its Galleria store in Amanzimtoti. This permanent opportunity is ideal for someone with a passion for cosmetics, beauty products, and customer service.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining merchandising standards, replenishing stock, processing customer purchases, and providing outstanding customer service while ensuring the cosmetics department remains attractive, fully stocked, and well organised.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure shelves are fully stocked and merchandise is neatly displayed.
- Replenish stock to maximise product availability and sales.
- Monitor product expiry dates and remove expired stock.
- Process customer purchases accurately at the point of sale.
- Handle cash, card, vouchers, and other approved payment methods.
- Process authorised exchanges and returns.
- Follow all cash handling and security procedures.
- Assist customers with product information and recommendations.
- Follow up on out-of-stock enquiries.
- Maintain merchandising standards and planograms.
- Ensure all outgoing stock is correctly scanned and paid for.
- Comply with Dis-Chem policies, health and safety procedures, and standard operating procedures.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- 0–6 months retail experience.
- At least 1 year of cosmetics retail experience.
- Retail or related qualification/certificate.
- Basic computer literacy (MS Office).

- Good communication skills in English (read, write, and speak).
- Knowledge of cosmetics and beauty products.
