About the Apprenticeship

The programme provides:

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • Matric (Grade 12).
  • N3 Qualification.
  • N2 with four relevant trade subjects, including:
    • Engineering Mathematics
    • Engineering Science
    • Mechanical
    • Mechanical and Electrical Drawings
  • Electrical subjects will be advantageous.
  • Some relevant work experience will be beneficial.

Key Responsibilities

During the apprenticeship, you will:

  • Attend theoretical training at an accredited training centre.
  • Participate in practical workplace training under qualified artisans.
  • Assist with maintenance and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Learn to diagnose faults and resolve technical issues.
  • Apply engineering principles in a manufacturing environment.
  • Work safely according to company policies and procedures.
  • Complete practical assessments and workplace learning modules.
  • Work shifts, overtime, weekends, and public holidays when required.
  • Successfully complete all theoretical and practical training requirements.
