Dis-Chem Pharmacies Limited is currently seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Health Merchandiser to join its team at Scottburgh Mall. As a Health Merchandiser, you will play an important role in ensuring that the store’s merchandising standards are consistently maintained. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that products are displayed neatly, shelves remain fully stocked, and customers enjoy an excellent shopping experience. You will also assist with stock replenishment, inventory management, and maintaining the overall appearance of the sales floor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Replenish stock according to business requirements.
  • Unpack and store delivered stock in the correct locations.
  • Ensure shelves are fully stocked at all times.
  • Rotate stock regularly using the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) method.
  • Assist with general stocktaking and inventory counts.
  • Ensure products are correctly labelled and priced.
  • Build, maintain, and replenish merchandising displays.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the shop floor and stockroom.
  • Assist customers with stock and product-related enquiries.
  • Support back shopping and general merchandising activities.
  • Report suspicious or unusual behaviour involving customers or staff.
  • Comply with all health and safety procedures.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • Up to six months’ retail experience.
  • Basic computer literacy (MS Office).
  • Willingness and ability to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.

Advantageous Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree within a Health-related field.
  • At least one year of retail experience.
  • Knowledge of merchandising standards and the FMCG industry.
  • Experience with SAP and Unisolv systems.
  • Ability to analyse ZMORE reports for stock ordering and stocktaking.
  • Bilingual communication skills.
