Icebolethu Group is looking to recruit 30 energetic and results-driven Field Agents to join its team in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal. As a Field Agent, you will be responsible for generating new business through cold calling, prospecting, and promoting Icebolethu’s range of funeral assurance products. You will engage with new and existing clients, identify their financial protection needs, and recommend suitable funeral cover solutions while delivering exceptional customer service. Success in this role requires confidence, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently while consistently achieving sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and sell funeral assurance policies to new and existing clients.
- Generate new business through cold calling and field sales activities.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Deliver excellent customer service and ensure client satisfaction.
- Handle customer queries and resolve complaints within agreed service levels.
- Implement customer retention strategies to maintain and grow the client base.
- Contact clients to restructure, retain, or resell existing funeral policies.
- Maintain accurate customer records and complete all administrative duties.
- Negotiate policy renewals and encourage long-term client retention.
- Ensure compliance with FAIS and FSCA regulatory requirements.
- Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Represent Icebolethu Group professionally within the community.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- 1–2 years’ experience in sales, customer service, or field operations.
- Computer literacy, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Clear credit and criminal record.
Advantageous Qualifications & Experience
- Relevant tertiary qualification.
- RE1 or RE5 certification.
- Experience in the funeral assurance, insurance, or financial services industry.
- Financial services experience.
- Previous experience handling customer complaints and client engagement.
