RCL Milling is looking for a responsible, safety-conscious, and experienced Heavy Motor Vehicle Driver to join its Consumer Division in Pretoria West. This permanent opportunity is ideal for a professional driver with a valid Code 10 driver’s licence, PrDP, and a proven track record of safe and reliable vehicle operation.
As a Heavy Motor Vehicle Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods, products, and materials safely and efficiently to various destinations using a rigid heavy vehicle. You will play an important role in ensuring that deliveries are completed on time while maintaining high standards of customer service and compliance with road safety regulations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Valid Code 10 driver’s licence.
- Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP). A PrDP “D” is required if operating dangerous goods vehicles.
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar heavy vehicle driving position.
- Own reliable transport to and from work.
- Medically fit.
- Clear criminal record.
- Safe driving history.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and inspect vehicles before every trip to ensure roadworthiness.
- Load and offload goods safely and efficiently.
- Operate heavy-duty vehicles in accordance with traffic laws and company policies.
- Conduct vehicle inspections before departure and upon return.
- Transport goods safely to customers and return all required documentation to the distribution centre.
- Maintain accurate delivery and dispatch documentation.
- Account for all goods transported during each trip.
- Take full responsibility for the condition and safety of the vehicle when leaving the depot.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and comply with all operational procedures.
- Be willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
