About the Role

The successful candidate will support daily production activities by ensuring bread products are packed efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of quality, food safety, hygiene, and housekeeping. The role requires working in a production environment where meeting daily production targets is essential without compromising product quality.

Key Responsibilities

As a General Worker Bread Packer, you will be responsible for:

Production
  • Execute daily production targets accurately and on time.
  • Ensure the integrity and quality of bread products throughout the packing process.
  • Assist in maintaining efficient production operations.
  • Support the overall production plan.
Quality Control
  • Maintain high product quality standards at all times.
  • Ensure products meet company specifications before packing.
  • Report any quality concerns to supervisors.
Housekeeping and Hygiene
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping standards.
  • Keep workstations clean and organised.
  • Follow all hygiene procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Support food safety compliance within the production area.
Safety
  • Follow all Health and Safety regulations.
  • Use equipment safely.
  • Assist with planned maintenance of assigned equipment where required.
Administration
  • Complete required production records accurately.
  • Assist with documentation and record keeping.
  • Follow company procedures and production instructions.
Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • Grade 12 (Matric) or an equivalent qualification
Experience

The following will be advantageous:

  • Previous production or manufacturing experience
  • 2–3 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience working in a food production environment
  • Good communication with supervisors and management
  • Knowledge of housekeeping, hygiene, and workplace safety
