Overview of the Learnership Programme

GE HealthCare is offering an exciting 12-month Learnership Programme designed to provide practical workplace exposure combined with structured learning. The learnership provides participants with the opportunity to gain hands-on administrative and office support experience within a professional corporate environment, while working toward a nationally recognised qualification. Successful learners will be supported through mentorship, on-the-job training, and exposure to real business operations, helping them build skills that can enhance long-term employability.

This opportunity is ideal for individuals who have completed Grade 12 and are eager to begin a career in administration, human resources support, or general office operations.

Key Responsibilities

As a Learner participating in this programme, you will be expected to carry out a variety of administrative and support duties, including but not limited to:

  • Providing day-to-day administrative support to senior leaders, managers, and teams
  • Assisting with scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and preparing documentation
  • Capturing data accurately and maintaining organised filing systems (both electronic and manual)
  • Supporting the coordination of team activities, internal communications, and events
  • Handling general office tasks such as scanning, photocopying, and managing email correspondence
  • Ensuring confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive information
  • Maintaining accurate records in line with company policies and procedures
  • Balancing workplace responsibilities with academic and training requirements linked to the learnership

Learners are expected to demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn in a structured professional environment.


Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this learnership, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a South African citizen
  • Must be living with a disability (documentary proof of disability will be required)
  • Must have completed Grade 12 / Matric
  • Must have a genuine interest in administration, office support, or human resources functions
  • Must possess good verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have basic computer literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Must be willing to learn, take initiative, and grow professionally
  • Must be able to manage time effectively between work duties and study commitments

No prior work experience is required, making this opportunity suitable for entry-level candidates.
