Job Overview
ANEW Hotels & Resorts Support Office is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Intern to support Learning and Development (L&D) initiatives across ANEW properties. This internship offers an opportunity to gain practical, hands-on experience in learning design, course development, training coordination, and the use of modern learning technologies, including AI tools, within a hospitality environment.
The successful candidate will be based at the Support Office in Centurion, Gauteng, and will work closely with the HR and Learning & Development team to assist with the planning, development, and delivery of training programmes. This role is suitable for a candidate who is passionate about employee development, digital learning, and innovative training solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Learning and Development Support
The HR Intern will assist with the coordination and execution of learning and development initiatives across the organisation. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the design, planning, and implementation of training programmes
- Supporting employee development initiatives aligned with business and operational needs
- Coordinating training schedules, venues, facilitators, and logistics
- Monitoring training attendance, completion, and overall effectiveness
- Assisting with skills assessments and development planning processes
- Supporting compliance-related training initiatives where required
Course Development and Content Creation
The intern will play a role in developing and maintaining training content used across ANEW Hotels & Resorts. Responsibilities include:
- Creating training materials such as presentations, guides, and learning resources
- Developing e-learning content and digital learning modules
- Assisting in the design of course curricula and structured learning pathways
- Updating, reviewing, and maintaining existing training content to ensure relevance and accuracy
- Supporting instructional design projects aligned with organisational learning objectives
AI Tools and Learning Technology
As part of the modern learning environment at ANEW Hotels & Resorts, the HR Intern will assist with the use of technology and AI-enabled tools to enhance learning experiences. Responsibilities include:
- Using AI tools to support course content creation and learning design
- Assisting in the development of interactive and engaging learning experiences
- Supporting the administration and maintenance of the Learning Management System (LMS)
- Assisting with the creation of automated assessments and learning evaluations
- Researching emerging learning technologies and digital learning trends
Administrative and Reporting Support
Accurate administration and reporting are essential to the Learning & Development function. The HR Intern will assist with:
- Maintaining training records, databases, and learner documentation
- Preparing learning and development reports, summaries, and basic analytics
- Coordinating with department heads and managers to identify training needs
- Supporting learning resource management and documentation control
- Assisting with general HR and L&D administrative tasks as required
Required Skills and Competencies
The successful candidate should demonstrate an interest in learning and development and possess the following skills or foundational knowledge:
- Understanding of learning design and adult learning principles
- Exposure to or interest in course development and instructional design
- Familiarity with AI tools or digital platforms used for content creation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to create clear, engaging training content

- Basic training facilitation knowledge or willingness to learn
- Good digital literacy and confidence using online tools and systems
