Purpose of the Role

The primary purpose of the Bank Better Champion role is to ensure a positive and efficient client experience within Capitec branches. The role also provides exposure to banking operations, enabling successful candidates to build the knowledge, skills, and experience required for future service consulting roles within the bank.


Key Responsibilities

As a Bank Better Champion, your responsibilities will include:

  • Welcoming clients and managing the flow of customers within the branch
  • Assisting clients with ATM transactions and self-service banking channels
  • Educating customers on how to use ATMs and resolve basic transaction issues
  • Conducting routine inspections and basic maintenance checks on ATM machines
  • Monitoring ATM functionality and responding to alerts or operational issues
  • Performing cash-related tasks in line with internal controls and procedures
  • Assisting with troubleshooting ATM hardware or software issues and escalating where necessary
  • Responding professionally to customer enquiries, concerns, and complaints
  • Promoting Capitec banking products and services in a client-focused manner
  • Maintaining accurate records of ATM activity and customer interactions
  • Supporting branch operations and ensuring adherence to safety and security protocols

Experience Requirements

Minimum:

  • No prior work experience required
  • Must hold a Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate)

Ideal:

  • Some customer service experience within a retail, financial, or banking environment

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification:

  • Grade 12 National Certificate or equivalent

Preferred:

  • Exposure to a banking or financial services environment

Knowledge and Attributes
