Job Overview

Motus Aftermarket Parts is currently seeking unemployed graduates to participate in its Operations Graduate Programme. This programme is aimed at young individuals who are interested in gaining practical workplace experience within the automotive aftermarket industry while completing a nationally recognised qualification.

The graduate programme offers structured on-the-job training combined with theoretical learning. Participants will be exposed to operational processes within a large organisation and will work under supervision at selected Motus Aftermarket Parts branches and head office locations. Upon successful completion, graduates will receive a National Certificate in Wholesale & Retail Operations.

This opportunity is suitable for candidates who are eager to learn, willing to work in a professional environment, and interested in developing long-term career skills in operations, administration, and business processes.


Programme Structure and Learning Exposure

Participants in the programme will rotate through various operational areas depending on placement requirements. The programme is designed to provide exposure to real-world business operations within the wholesale and retail automotive parts sector.

Key learning areas include, but are not limited to:

  • Understanding daily branch and head office operations
  • Exposure to inventory management and stock control processes
  • Learning supply chain and logistics fundamentals
  • Supporting administrative and reporting activities
  • Understanding customer service standards and operational procedures
  • Using business systems relevant to wholesale and retail operations
  • Applying workplace health, safety, and compliance principles

Training and mentorship will be provided throughout the duration of the programme to support learning and skills development.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

While this is a learning-focused role, participants will be expected to contribute to daily operational activities. Duties may include:

  • Assisting with routine operational and administrative tasks
  • Supporting supervisors and team members with assigned duties
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation
  • Assisting with data capturing and reporting
  • Participating in scheduled training sessions and assessments
  • Adhering to company policies, procedures, and workplace standards
  • Demonstrating professionalism, punctuality, and a willingness to learn

Responsibilities may vary depending on placement location and operational needs.


Qualifications and Fields of Study

Applicants must hold a qualification in one of the following fields or a related discipline:

  • Business Administration
  • Business Management
  • Finance
  • Information Technology (IT)

These qualifications are considered relevant to the operational and administrative nature of the programme.


Minimum Requirements

To be considered for the graduate programme, applicants must meet all the requirements listed below:

  • Must be 35 years of age or younger at the time of application
  • Must have completed Matric (Grade 12)
  • Must be currently unemployed
  • Must not have previously participated in a SETA learnership
  • Must be available to commit to the full duration of the programme
  • Must be willing to be placed at branches or head office locations as required
  • South African citizenship is required

Only applicants who meet the minimum criteria will be considered.


Stipend and Programme Conditions

Successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend of R5 000, intended to assist with basic living and transport expenses during the programme. This is not a permanent employment position but a fixed-term graduate internship focused on skills development and workplace exposure.

Completion of the programme does not guarantee permanent employment; however, it provides valuable industry experience and a nationally recognised qualification.
