The company is looking for an energetic and customer-focused Permanent Part-Timer to join its retail team in Potchefstroom. Job Purpose

The purpose of this role is to support the store management team with daily store operations while ensuring that customers receive an exceptional in-store experience. The position involves store maintenance, product merchandising, customer service, sales support, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the retail environment.


Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
  • Provide every customer with the highest level of adidas service, ensuring a positive and memorable shopping experience.
  • Greet customers upon arrival and assist them with product selection, sizing, and styling recommendations.
  • Use effective communication and active listening to understand customer needs.
Sales Support
  • Process sales transactions efficiently, including purchases made via cash, card, or other accepted payment methods.
  • Apply selling techniques such as suggesting additional products or explaining technical product features to enhance the shopping experience and support store sales goals.
  • Gain proficiency in the point-of-sale system by learning store processes and following all operational guidelines.
Merchandising and Stock Handling
  • Assist with product flow from the stockroom to the sales floor when required.
  • Participate in ticketing, tagging, and preparing merchandise for display.
  • Support the development of store displays and follow visual merchandising guidelines provided by management.
  • Help unpack, organise, and replenish stock as needed.
Store Standards and Housekeeping
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation on the sales floor, in fitting rooms, and in back-of-house areas.
  • Follow store procedures to ensure the safekeeping of all company assets.
  • Uphold all operational policies, including health and safety standards.
Additional Support Tasks
  • Serve as a Greeter during busy trading periods to manage customer flow and create a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Assist in other store duties as requested by management to support daily operations.

Skills and Experience
Required Skills
  • Strong passion for retail and customer service.
  • Ability to use initiative and work independently when needed.
  • Clear and positive communication—customers should feel valued and supported.
  • Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
  • A friendly, energetic personality with a willingness to learn.
Experience
  • 0–1 year of experience in a retail environment.
  • Previous experience in fashion, footwear, or sports retail is an advantage but not mandatory.
Education
  • Matric certificate (or equivalent secondary qualification).
