🎯 Job Purpose
The General Worker will assist in the smooth operation of the warehouse by performing various duties, including binning, receiving, picking, scanner control, and maintaining cleanliness and order within the workspace.

1. Binning and Receiving
- Perform binning of incoming merchandise and ensure proper replenishment of stock from bulk to pick locations according to standard operating procedures.
- Allocate new products with correct bin location numbers within the warehouse.
- Report any bin updates or stock allocations to your supervisor promptly.
- Assist in replenishment functions to maintain sufficient inventory levels.
- Ensure that all incoming goods are checked and verified according to company standards.
2. Picking Orders
- Pick customer and branch orders accurately and on time to meet daily order cut-off times.
- Only pick from bulk locations when necessary to prevent product damage or incorrect pack sizes.
- Follow all company procedures to ensure efficient customer satisfaction.
- Assist during stock take activities and perform regular inventory checks.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in your work area daily.
- Perform double checks on picked orders to prevent inventory losses and errors.
- Consistently strive to achieve operational performance targets.
3. Scanner Control
- Issue scanners to operators at the start of each shift and book them out using the electronic app.
- Receive scanners back from operators at the end of the shift, inspect them for any damage, and book them back into stock.
- Report any damaged scanners or equipment issues to the supervisor immediately.
- Maintain the daily scanner issue spreadsheet accurately and up to date.
