Job Purpose

As a Cinema Assistant (Multi-Skilled Employee), you will perform a variety of functions within the cinema, including box office sales, catering, collections, and floor assistance. Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Sales
- Work as a cashier at the Box Office, Catering, or Collection points.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Ster-Kinekor products, promotions, and marketing campaigns to effectively upsell and inform customers.
- Provide friendly, professional assistance to guests at all times.
Presentation & Brand Standards
- Ensure all age restriction notices, movie synopses, and promotional posters are correctly displayed and updated.
- Maintain neat and attractive displays for food, beverages, and promotional products.
- Keep all disclaimer signage visible and accurate in line with company policies.
Food & Beverage Preparation
- Prepare popcorn, slush, and other refreshments according to quality standards.
- Monitor the freshness and presentation of all food products and report any deviations from quality guidelines.
- Ensure products are sealed, packaged, and stored correctly to prevent contamination or wastage.
Operational Support
- Assist with shift preparation and help colleagues during peak times.
- Manage the integrity of Ster-Kinekor products to maintain a positive guest experience.
- Perform duties as a Cinema Assistant, Waiter, or Poppers Operator, depending on operational needs.
Health, Safety & Cleanliness
- Maintain cleanliness in all work areas, including the kitchen, counters, and surrounding spaces.
- Ensure storerooms are tidy, properly ventilated, and fumigated when required.
- Follow all Health and Safety (H&S) protocols and submit required reports on time.
- Wear the correct uniform and adhere to grooming standards to ensure both personal safety and brand consistency.
Teamwork & Professional Conduct
- Conduct yourself respectfully and professionally at all times, as your actions represent the Ster-Kinekor brand.
- Collaborate with supervisors and fellow team members to maintain efficient operations and a positive work culture.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this position, candidates should meet the following criteria:

Education: Matric / Grade 12 certificate.
Experience: 0–1 year of experience in a similar environment (hospitality, retail, or customer service preferred).
Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Additional Knowledge: Experience with VISTA point-of-sale system is advantageous.
