Job Description
In order to discharge its mandate, the FAIS Ombud seeks to appoint Graduate Trainees as part of the Graduate Training Programme. This is a structured programme specifically designed to produce a pipeline of competent trainee entrants to the labour market.
Duration – The duration of the programme is twelve (12) months.
Roll out of the Programme: Recommended candidates will be given an opportunity to learn under a dedicated mentor. Graduates will be assigned to the Supply Chain Department and exposed to various competency-based training.

- Exposure to working in a target-driven environment on complaints received by the public against financial service providers and to move same towards a resolution in a procedurally fair, informal, economical and expeditious manner.
- Working in a team of experienced lawyers, financial planner(s), Investigators and negotiators.

Job Requirements
Requirements:
- Diploma (NQF 6) or Degree (NQF 7) in Supply Chain Management or Logistics.
- South African citizen with a valid South African Identity document.
- Passion for public service and an interest/desire to work in the Financial Sector.
- Strong academic background and high levels of integrity.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment, willing to learn and work extra hours.
- Energetic, self-driven and deadline driven.
- Must be computer literate.
Key Performance Areas:
- Demand Planning: Forecasting and anticipating customer demand to ensure adequate inventory and production levels.
- Supplier Selection: Choosing reliable and cost-effective suppliers.
- Negotiation and Contract Management: Establishing favorable terms with suppliers.
- Supplier Performance Monitoring: Tracking supplier performance to ensure quality and on-time delivery.
